How personal and professional development should really work

At Training Matters, we have always maintained that a big part of an organisations success is down to the talented people who work within them. We want to feature one of our candidates this month who is a real inspiration to other people and a true example of how personal and professional development should really work.

Kelly Court, of Cameron House Hotel completed her SVQ in Management Level 4 with Training Matters back in April 2013. Since her time as Activities Manager in the hotel, Kelly has capitalised on her learning and experience by gaining promotion to Leisure Operations Manager in October 2013 and more recently to Leisure Club Manager in April 2014.

Not only is Kelly passionate about her own professional development, she is a real ambassador for the SVQ program within Cameron House, supporting other staff in the hotel as they work towards a formal qualification.

Believe it or not, she hasn’t stopped there. She is currently working towards a PDA (Personal Development Award) in Strategic Leadership and Management level 5 applying what she is learning in her journey with Cameron House. This is a challenging qualification and only the best in the business achieve it so there will be no doubt that she will.

Here she is back in Aug 2013 just after completing her SVQ level 4 with us...

Well done again Kelly and keep up the good work!
